Grade 9 student Alexandra Nadinne Sicat wins 2nd runner-up in the annual Miss Philippine Independence Day beauty pageant.The pageant was held in Burjuman on May 13, 2017.
Sicat was also awarded as the Ms. Photogenic, Ms. Talent, Best in Long Gown, and the LBC People’s Choice Award.
“To all my supporters, thank you for always being there cheering me up! I couldn’t have done it without all of you there for me,” she said.
The winner had no regrets. She said that she gave everything onstage. ” I wanted to prove to myself and to everybody that I can do and show my best. For this, I never thought of giving up because I joined this purely out of guts. I was also encouraged by my parents and friends to join, and I didn’t want to disappoint them, ” she related.
“All I can say to the people who want to join pageants is to believe in yourself, because what you believe is what you become. Don’t forget to enjoy and have fun. Remember that God and your family are always there to support you,” she advised.
